Αντικείμενο της μελέτης ήταν η διαμόρφωση ενός διαμερίσματος για ένα ζευγάρι ώριμης ηλικίας, σχεδιασμένο ώστε να φιλοξενεί με άνεση οικογενειακές συγκεντρώσεις και κοινά γεύματα. Κύρια προτεραιότητα αποτέλεσε η αναδιαμόρφωση των χώρων διημέρευσης, με την καθαίρεση εσωτερικών τοίχων και τον επανασχεδιασμό του διαδρόμου που οδηγεί στα υπνοδωμάτια, με στόχο μια πιο ανοιχτή και λειτουργική διαρρύθμιση.Η μελέτη επεκτάθηκε επίσης στη μετατροπή ενός WC σε μικρό δεύτερο λουτρό, καθώς και στην πλήρη ανακαίνιση του κύριου λουτρού. Η αγάπη της ιδιοκτήτριας για τις ορχιδέες έπαιξε σημαντικό ρόλο στη σχεδιαστική διαδικασία, οδηγώντας στη δημιουργία ενός ειδικά διαμορφωμένου σημείου για την ανάδειξη της συλλογής τους.Η συνολική σχεδιαστική προσέγγιση συνδυάζει τη σύγχρονη αισθητική με κλασικά, διαχρονικά στοιχεία.
Athens Apartment Renovation
The scope of this study was to create an apartment for a mature couple, designed to comfortably host family gatherings and shared meals. The primary focus was the reconfiguration of the living spaces — involving the removal of interior walls and the redesign of the corridor leading to the bedrooms, in order to achieve a more open and functional layout. The study was further extended to include the conversion of a WC into a small second bathroom, as well as the complete renovation of the family bathroom. The couple's love for orchids also played a significant role in the design process, leading to the creation of a dedicated spot where their collection could be beautifully displayed. The overall concept was developed to blend a contemporary aesthetic with classic, timeless elements.
